While road cycling is often framed through the lens of performance, BLANK CANVAS explores its creative side. Celebrating the intersection of movement, design, and personal expression. In this multimedia series SRAM athletes team up with artists to create a collaborative artwork that combines visual art with the art of motion on a bike.

Ep.1 - Circles

Every ride begins with a Blank Canvas–shaped by pedal strokes and pursuit of the road ahead. This new series follows athletes and their chosen artists who blur the lines between sport and art to create something entirely their own. Episode 1, “Circles”, brings Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider Matteo Jorgenson and multimedia artist Annabelle Terry together to explore the shape of a pedal stroke as both physical force and artistic creation, where every circle pushed contributes to Matteo’s story, and Matteo’s story, a work of art.

Ep.2 - Collage

In Blank Canvas episode 2, “Collage”, Ayesha McGowan teams up with artist and herbalist Alicia Fairclough to explore Ayesha’s story through the medium of collage. From becoming the first African American woman to compete at the World Tour level to her work with Thee Abundance Project, Ayesha is expanding what representation in cycling can look like.

Ep.3 - Contrast

In Blank Canvas episode 3, Lidl-Trek athlete Tao Geoghegan Hart and graphic designer Ciarán Birch explore the relationship between professional road racing and everyday city riding. Contrast is about seeing the same sport through different eyes, blending grit and motion with layered, geometric forms. Together, they reveal a more relatable and raw side of cycling shaped by the streets we ride and share daily.
