MOMENTS OF B.C.
Axel Weinmann and "JEFF" roll through British Columbia
It´s October in British Columbia. The mountain tops are already covered in snow but the trails in the valleys are still dry and dusty. The summer tourists are long gone. On our way from Vancouver to Williams Lake we meet German bike athlete Axel Weinmann, who traveled through Canada and the States in his van called “Jeff” for some months. He joins us on our trip to the north where we spend the last days of the bike season together on perfect trails. It feels like we are the only riders in trail paradise. Moments of B.C. shows some of our favorite moments from this trip, no matter if on the trail or on the highway.
I´ve been traveling around North America for six months. When the summer was over it was time to head out into the mountains of British Columbia for one last adventure. I wanted to catch the last sunlight and the indian summer vibe before the beginning of winter. Our destination was Williams Lake, Canadas capital of forestry, better known as the singletrail paradise of B. C. with endless loamy trails through forests covered in moss. I had to realize that six months are not enough to explore all the trails in this country. It would take a lifetime.
To be honest, the last months were a dream come true for me. Is there something better than waking up in a different spot in your van every morning and falling asleep in even more remote places every evening? - Axel Weinmann
